Hoooooooooo boy! Religion is stupid.
A notorious internet pastor has warned men not to masturbate because it’s “sex with a man” and that’s gay.
High school football coach and internet pastor ‘Coach’ Dave Daubenmire, who has a surreal online following, made the comments on his ‘Pass the Salt’ livestream.
You’ve just got to say no to it, as hard as it is. If you’re very honest about it, masturbation is homosexuality.
“You’re having sex with a man. You’re putting images of a woman in your mind, but you’re having sex with a man.”
More Christians should step away from the church, which has historically dictated how people should live their lives, to explore what the Bible is saying to them.
When Matthew Vines turned 19, he had a revelation shared by many ordinary teenagers: He was gay. But since he was also a Bible-believing Christian, he knew he was facing a tremendous struggle.
“In my church and so many others,” Vines says, “being gay and Christian wasn’t an option. But I couldn’t give up on my faith.”
A sophomore at Harvard at the time, Vines left school to do some soul-searching. His goal: To reconcile his sexual orientation with what the Bible said about homosexuality.
He spent the next four-years pouring over Scripture, studying what it said about same-sex sexual behavior and relationships. The result is his book God and the Gay Christian. Vine calls the book “an open letter to modern Christians” about why they should support same-sex relationships, and what the Bible really says about homosexuality.
As much as any religious group may hate us, you cannot make false claims, which most of these people do. Just glad there is someone to stop them.
A New Jersey judge has issued a preliminary ruling that the Jewish ex-gay group JONAH is in violation of the state’s Consumer Fraud Act (CFA) for the way it describes homosexuality and for its claims of success.
Judge Peter F. Bariso, Jr. issued a partial summary judgment against JONAH on two specific claims it had made when marketing its treatment. First, it is a violation of the CFA to market services that describe homosexuality as a “mental illness, disease, disorder, or equivalent thereof.” The court, he wrote, “now takes judicial notice of the general consensus in the mental health field that homosexuality is not a mental disorder, but is instead a normal variation of human sexuality,” and it would be a misrepresentation to suggest otherwise.
I’m sure if the Ugandan president really wanted more information, he’d search for it or ask. I don’t know that this will accomplish much.
The Ugandan president committed to meeting with American “experts” on homosexuality to try to change his mind about the Anti-Homosexuality Act signed into law last month, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said on Tuesday during a forum at the State Department moderated by BuzzFeed.
Museveni claimed to have signed the law, which imposes up to a lifetime prison sentence for homosexuality, after being convinced no one is “born gay.”
“I talked personally to President Museveni just a few weeks ago, and he committed to meet with some of our experts so that we could engage him in a dialogue as to why what he did could not be based on any kind of science or fact, which is what he was alleging,” Kerry said. “He welcomed that and said that he was happy to receive them and we can engage in that kind of conversation… maybe we can reach a point of reconsideration.”
I fear for LGBT Ugandans. 😦
ENTEBBE, Uganda (AP) — Uganda’s president on Monday signed a controversial anti-gay bill that has harsh penalties for homosexual sex, saying the bill is necessary because “arrogant and careless Western groups” had tried to “recruit” Ugandan children into homosexuality.
President Yoweri Museveni signed the bill at his official residence in an event witnessed by government officials, journalists and a team of Ugandan scientists whose report —which found that there is no genetic basis for homosexuality — Museveni has cited as his reason for backing the bill.
“We Africans never seek to impose our view on others. If only they could let us alone,” he said, talking of Western pressure not to sign the bill.
Russia, Russia, Russia… whatever will we do with you?
First you accuse the EU of this aggressive propaganda, then you accuse Germany of failing to protect LGBT rights. Why should you care what anyone else does? You’re like a nosy neighbour who has to point fingers and tattle on everyone else in the neighbourhood. Get a grip, Russia!
Russia has accused the European Union of the “aggressive propaganda of homosexual love” in order to force “an alien view of homosexuality” on all countries worldwide — while simultaneously slamming Germany for not doing enough to protect LGBT rights.
According to a Russian foreign ministry report on human rights in the EU, published Wednesday in Russian and a clumsy English translation, the EU’s member states “consider, as one of their priorities, the dissemination of their neo-liberal values as a universal lifestyle for all other members of the international community.
“This is particularly evident in their aggressive promotion of the sexual minorities’ rights,” the report says. “Attempts have been made to enforce on other countries an alien view of homosexuality and same-sex marriages as a norm of life and some kind of a natural social phenomenon that deserves support at the state level.” At one point, the English version of the report refers to gay people as “queers” — even though the Russian original refers to them as “people with non-traditional orientation.”
I personally think that the very reason that he decided to wait to come out is the very reason he should’ve done so before retiring. But coming out is up to each individual and pushing them doesn’t help anyone.
The German international, who retired in September due to a recurring knee injury, came out to German magazine Die Ziet.
“I’m making my homosexuality public because I would like to advance the discussion of homosexuality among professional athletes,” Hitzlsperger said.
The man referred to as “Der Hammer” by the Villa faithful due to his explosive left-footed shots said that coming to terms with being gay was “a long and difficult process” and that “only in recent years has it dawned on me that I would prefer to live with another man.”
The 31-year-old enjoyed a 12-year career playing in Germany, Italy and England and stated that he has “never been ashamed” of his sexuality, but preferred to wait until after he had retired to reveal the news because homosexuality “is a topic that is ignored in football”.
I hope she is discriminated against at least once in her life before she dies so she knows what it feels like. Perhaps someone will condemn her. I mean her quote about “woman with boys and boys with woman” could be twisted around to make it sound like she condones pedophilia.
MOSCOW (AP) — Pole vault great Yelena Isinbayeva condemned homosexuality Thursday after criticizing competitors who painted their fingernails in rainbow colors to support gays and lesbians in the face of a new anti-gay law in Russia.
The Russian, who won her third world title Tuesday in front of a boisterous home crowd, came out in favor of the law which has drawn sharp criticism and led Western activists to call for a boycott of next year’s Winter Olympics in the Russian resort of Sochi.
“If we allow to promote and do all this stuff on the street, we are very afraid about our nation because we consider ourselves like normal, standard people,” Isinbayeva, a two-time Olympic champion, said in English. “We just live with boys with woman, woman with boys.
This was too good not to share…
