Gay ‘cure’ therapist had sex with patients

FURTHER proof that those who hate LGBT the most are the ones who are deepest in the closet.

Dr Melvyn Iscove, 72, was registered as a psychiatrist with the  College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, and claimed to be able to ‘cure’ patients of ‘same-sex attraction’.

However, Dr Iscove – who was described as having a “special interest in the treatment of patients with problems related to homosexuality” – was handed a suspension this week for having sex with patients.

The committee alleged that Iscove,  who believes homosexuality is a “sexual disorder”, engaged in “mutual masturbation and oral sex” with two male patients during sessions, and had anal sex with one male patient.

Man Tried to Cure Himself of Homosexuality

It’s heartbreaking to know that even adults feel the need to cure themselves of something that isn’t a disease. He’s proof that it’s not the Christian God who hates homosexuals, it’s his followers.

Humans of New York has profiled a man who was subjected to gay ‘cure’ therapy.

At present, it is legal in nearly all US states to attempt to ‘cure’ homosexuality, even though experts say the practice can be deeply harmful.

The state of New York moved to outlaw gay ‘cure’ practises for minors last year, but adults are still free to seek treatment.

Photojournalist blog Humans of New York, which is run by Brandon Stanton, posts daily pictures of everyday people around New York – and attracts a huge following across the internet.

A picture from the blog went viral this week, featuring a man opening up about his relationship with faith and sexuality.

Anderson Cooper Decimates GOP Rep’s Anti-Gay Argument

I ❤ Anderson Cooper! I can't believe there are idiots who subscribe to this bullshit.

Anderson Cooper battle Texas state representative Bryan Hughes on Wednesday night over his support for gay conversion therapy programs.

The Texas Republican party recently voted to endorse “reparative therapy” in their platform, which now says that “no laws or executive orders shall be imposed to limit or restrict access to this type of therapy.”

Cooper hosted Hughes for Wednesday’s “Keeping Them Honest” segment, and asked him to respond to medical professionals who have said that conversion therapy is harmful to kids.

Hughes said there is medical literature for both sides of the issue, but Cooper quickly challenged that idea and ticked off organization after organization of doctors who oppose conversion therapy.

NJ Parents Sue Over Gay Conversion Therapy Ban

Are you f’ing kidding me??? These parents don’t need to be parents anymore. If his parents are successful, I have ZERO hope for the future of this country.

A New Jersey couple is challenging a measure signed into law this past August that prevents licensed therapists from performing gay conversion therapy in the state because they believe their 15-year-old son is gay and needs the controversial treatment.

“[The unnamed teen] has a sincerely held religious belief and conviction that homosexuality is wrong and immoral, and he wanted to address that value conflict because his unwanted same-sex attractions and gender confusion are contrary to the fundamental religious values that he holds,” the lawsuit claims.

Gay conversion therapy, or “reparative therapy,” is a practice that attempts to “convert” people who are sexually attracted to the same sex into heterosexuals. The method has been widely regarded by gay rights activists, psychologists, and patients who have undergone conversion therapy as ineffective and, in some cases, harmful. A 2007 report from the American Psychological Association found that the “results of scientifically valid research indicate that it is unlikely that individuals will be able to reduce same-sex attractions or increase other-sex sexual attractions through [sexual orientation change efforts.”
