I’m sorry, but I do not understand whatever agender or non-binary shit is. I get loving the opposite sex. I get loving the same sex. I get loving both depending on the circumstances and the person you’re in a relationship with. I don’t understand what it’s like to be born in the wrong body, but I accept that it happens and am all for transgender rights. Anything outside of the L, the G, the B or the T is beyond me. In a world where people don’t want to be labeled, there are still thousands who reject the labels there are – for whatever reason – and decide to make up their own shit. In my eyes, they’re doing it for attention. I don’t understand one person wanting to be referred to as “they”. They, they’re, their have denoted multiple persons for I don’t know how long and suddenly it’s not…?
In this case, the parent involved is screaming for this child’s rights, but at the same time, the child’s rights are being taken by the parent. Let the child grow into the male or female body given at birth and if that child feels wrong, let her or him make up his/her mind alone. Why should a parent force their own issues on this child? Why make life difficult for the child if she/he is happy in their own body? Kinda makes me wonder if the parent would be happy if the child turned out to be a healthy heterosexual female or male.
I got this story from Lizzy the Lezzy on Facebook and as someone pointed out, there are medical issues that the child may experience that the doctor needs to know if the sex of the child is male or female as it could determine how something is treated or handled.
A Canadian baby has become the first to receive official identification which defines them as not having a gender.
Eight-month-old Searyl Atli Doty – Sea for short – got their national health card with a “U” entered in the sex category, months into a legal battle that their parent is still fighting.
Kori Doty, a trans non-binary parent, is appealing against the Vital Statistics Agency’s decision to refuse Sea a birth certificate.
It’s truly amazing how Christians speak with so-called authority on the matter of LGBT people and yet he’s got no fucking clue what anything really means. And just because you have a problem with us, does not give you the right to judge those REAL Christians who are okay with all of your god’s creations. Not just a select few.
Influential conservative Christian James Dobson reveals the depth of his own depraved ignorance by claiming “bisexual” means “orgies.”
Dobson, the founder of the powerful conservative Christian group Focus on the Family, made his ridiculous claim last week while speaking on his radio program “Family Talk with Dr. James Dobson.”
Dobson, an anti-gay evangelical Christian, was taking issue with pastors “who are compassionate toward those who have attractions to same-sex individuals.”
A sad day in the world at large when an icon as big as David Bowie passes. 😦 Though I rarely thought about it, because to be perfectly honest, I don’t think about the sex lives of celebrities, thinking about it now, I see how David was a trailblazer. But it seems to me that he was accepted as is long ago, while others were fussed over for a long time.
First he came out as gay. It was 1972, just five years after Britain decriminalised homosexuality.
Elton John and Freddie Mercury were still in the closet. Boy George and George Michael were still at school. But in an interview with Melody Maker, Bowie, as ever, trailblazed. “I’m gay,” he told the journalist Michael Watts. “And always have been, even when I was David Jones.”
He would revise this description four years later and announce: “It’s true – I am a bisexual.” His first wife, Angie Bowie, would claim he had an affair with Mick Jagger.
Okay I’m quite sure LGBT parents are just as confused as straight parents when it comes to Common Core. And for the THOUSANDTH time, there is no gay agenda, no homosexual agenda, no transgender agenda. We all want to educate our children the same as anyone else. Why can’t you get that through your Cromagnon heads??? Just keep your “C” values out of the classroom unless you’re teaching in a “C” school. We have the right to raise our children in ANY religion, same as you.
An Alabama Board of Education member is drawing criticism for making a number of outlandish claims about the Common Core during a recent GOP luncheon.
Betty Peters, the state school board member for District 2, in the southeast part of the state, spoke at a meeting of the Republican Women of Coffee County Oct. 21 during which she espoused views on the Common Core, “transgender values” and the “homosexualist” takeover of education in Southern states.
Peters tore into the Common Core standards as an example of federal overreach and claimed the program allows “homosexualists” to influence schoolchildren, The Southeast Sun, a newspaper based in Enterprise, Alabama, reported this week.
“I understand Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi are the three Southern states targeted by the radical, left, homosexualists to change our students’ perspective,” Peters said, according to the Sun. “We have gone past gay, lesbian and bisexual and we’re now into gender fluid spectrum.”
“As I said when I first campaigned and I’ve said it every time since, we need to get back to the basics: Reading, writing and arithmetic from first grade on,” Peters continued. “We need to be teaching the ‘c’ part which is Christian values, not Muslim values, not transgender values. We need to be teaching the old Biblical values.”
It’s been a while now, but I’ve slept with a blind lesbian before. Nothing exotic or unnatural about it at all. She was quite good, actually. Lol I just don’t understand how people have this disconnect between their brain and mouth and don’t think before they speak.
Charlie Willis was dancing in a gay club with a man he had just met when the man tried to put his hands down Willis’s trousers. “‘What the hell are you doing?’ I said. And he said, ‘Can you even get an erection?’”
Willis, 24, laughs and then scoffs – a snort of derision. As a bisexual man with cerebral palsy – the cluster of neurologically induced movement disorders – Willis has developed a wealth of responses to crass ignorance. There was, for example, the man on Grindr who said, “You’re way too hot to be disabled.” To which Willis replied, “No, mate. I’m too hot to even talk to you.”
A few days before National Coming Out Day, he has invited BuzzFeed News to his flat in Brighton to discuss the routine idiocy he faces from strangers, dates and even partners.
Another man on Grindr sent the following message: “Oh my god, I’ve never slept with a bisexual person before! That must be really exotic!” Willis rolls his eyes. “I was like, What the hell?! There’s nothing about me or my identity that’s exotic! There’s nothing different about the way I sleep with people.”
Okay, as I’ve said in the past on here, I really don’t care about celebrities coming out. Some people may view them as role models, and I’m sure they are for some, but to me they’re just regular people who happen to have a very public job. I’ve decided to mention Gillian Anderson’s outage (??) because 1. The X-Files is the only television or movie series that I’ve ever “fan-girled” over in my life and 2. There was a bit in the article I read that really bothers me.
When Anderson admitted she’d had relationships with both men and women, she then fell foul of some GLBT rights protestors for not being radical enough.
Why is it that being a lesbian, or being gay, or being bisexual, or being a transgender man/woman automatically means that you must be a major activist? Why if you’re a high profile celebrity mean that you have to be “radical” about your coming out? Not all of us are passionate about everything. Not all of us should be required to fight the good fight on a major level. For my own part, I avoid most of the businesses who are anti-lgbt and rant about stuff on this blog, but I’m not radical about anything. I just want to live my life. Why can’t celebrities be allowed the same?
I’m sorry, but people are getting pretty ridiculous about forcing celebrities out of the closet. Who are you to judge when and if a person should ever come out of the closet? And if he does later down the road, you are actually going to be closed minded enough to exclude him from your Bitch Party? (I refer to commenter called ‘Mariano G’ on the article) People in the LGBT community who exclude others based on their own agenda are just as divisive as heterosexuals. Whether Harry Styles is gay or bisexual is really a non-issue. I don’t know why people have to push the poor guy into a mould they’ve made.
If you don’t like others dictating who you should love, perhaps you should stop doing the same.
Harry Styles isn’t bisexual. Or, at least, he doesn’t think he’s bisexual.
The 19-year-old appears on the cover of the September 2013 issue of British GQ, one of five covers featuring the boys of pop group One Direction. When speaking with the magazine, Styles was asked about claims he is bisexual. Questions about the teen singer’s relationship with Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw have been circulating the rumor mill for months.
Styles insisted to GQ that he and Grimshaw aren’t dating and are just friends.
I’ve never seen the use of Tumblr, but I know it’s popular.
News that Tumblr’s mobile filter was blocking searches for such tags as #gay, #lesbian, or #bisexual on its iOS app as part of a new porn restrictions was immediately controversial. Users wondered how it was possible that searches related to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender themes were NSFW and subject to prohibition.
But the truth behind the filtering may have more to do with Tumblr’s recent sale to Yahoo! and its desire to adhere to the standards of Apple’s App Store, than an attempt to block any potentially racy communities.
