Gay Waiter Fired After Customer Note

I think it’s bullshit to fire someone for posting a receipt’s note on Facebook, or anywhere else for that matter. It’s not like anyone’s personal information was shared. No name, no credit card information. I think hate should be called out, but corporations only look out for themselves. I mean most companies don’t want employees to defend the store or restaurant from theft, so it’s not surprising they’d not take up for someone like this guy.

A gay waiter was sacked from his restaurant job after a customer wrote a homophobic message about him on a receipt.

The restaurant, Hickory Tavern, confirmed that it had sacked the server after he posted a photograph of a receipt with the homophobic message.
