Once again, this is a case of people not thinking things through completely. If an individual is dressed like a woman and otherwise looks like a woman, yet what is between her legs is different, how are you going to conduct your screening? Gonna ask all women to lift her skirt or drop her pants? Can’t rely on the Adam’s apple because it’s not prominent in all men. Can’t rely on the presence or absence of breasts because you could quite possibly offend a breast cancer survivor. People REALLY need to think more.
Seven Sisters Festival is a three-day women-only festival near Melbourne, Australia.
Last month, Facebook user Caitlin Therese Sullivan posted to the festival’s event page, asking whether trans women would be welcomed.
Festival organisers responded that individuals who are “physically men” would not be allowed onsite.
